1. Information We Collect
We collect information you provide or generate while using the app, including:
- Selfies or photos you capture or select for beauty transformation.
- Onboarding and quiz choices such as age range, identity selection or skip choice, language, beauty goals, current vibe, dream aesthetic, skill level, focus areas, product preferences, budget, and available time.
- Scan records, including selected aesthetic, transformed image references, unlock status, upgrade maps, glow recipes, share captions, scan dates, and related progress history.
- Referral information, including device-linked user identifiers, referral codes, referred-by codes, referral counts, reward-key usage, pro-access status, and related timestamps.
- Product analytics events collected through Mixpanel, such as app opens, screen views, onboarding responses, scan-flow actions, paywall interactions, referral actions, settings interactions, and share intents.
- Support information you choose to send to us, such as your email address, screenshots, device model, iOS version, app version, and issue details.
2. Camera and Photo Library
LupaLook requests camera access so you can take a selfie for a private beauty transformation. If camera
access is unavailable or you choose a saved image, iOS photo library permissions are used only for that
capture or selection flow.
The app may show on-device capture guidance such as lighting, angle, and one-face prompts before you
confirm a photo. A photo is sent for AI processing only after you choose to use it.
3. Face and Beauty Data
For this policy, "face and beauty data" means selfies or photos you submit, generated transformation
images, selected aesthetics, scan records, upgrade maps, glow recipes, and related app results.
Face and beauty data is used only to provide the app's private beauty experience, including image
transformation, aesthetic guidance, scan history, unlocks, share templates, and personalized recipe
generation. It is not used for biometric identification, account login, identity verification,
third-party advertising, or sale to third parties.
4. AI Image Transformation
To generate your Lupa Look, the app sends your confirmed image and limited profile context to the
LupaLook backend. The backend uses OpenRouter and AI model providers to process the request and return
a transformed image, upgrade map, glow recipe, and short share copy.
We do not include your name or email address in AI image-transformation requests unless you separately
provide that information in a support message. Operational logs may include technical metadata such as
request IDs, endpoint names, timing, model names, HTTP status, and error messages.
AI outputs are automated, subjective, and for entertainment, beauty inspiration, and general styling
planning only.
5. Local Storage on Your Device
LupaLook stores app data on your device so it can preserve your profile, onboarding progress, selected
aesthetic, scan history, captured or generated images, unlock state, referral state, subscription state,
settings, and anonymous app identifier.
You can remove locally stored app data by deleting the app from your device. Some subscription state may
still be available through your Apple ID, App Store account, or subscription provider records.
6. Backend Services and Referrals
LupaLook uses a Cloudflare Worker backend for AI generation, scan records, and referral features.
Referral state may include a device-linked user identifier, referral code, referred-by code, total
referral count, used reward keys, scan IDs used for reward redemption, pro-access expiry, and
timestamps.
Backend logs are used for security, debugging, reliability, abuse prevention, service operation, and
troubleshooting.
7. Subscriptions and Purchases
In-app purchases and subscriptions are processed by Apple through your App Store account. LupaLook uses
Superwall to present and manage paywall experiences. We do not receive or store your full payment card
details. Subscription changes, cancellations, renewals, and refunds are managed through your Apple ID
and App Store settings.
8. Notifications
If you enable notifications, the app may request iOS notification permission and store your local
notification preference. You can change notification permissions at any time in iOS Settings.
9. How We Use Information
We use information to:
- Provide camera capture, AI transformations, aesthetic selection, upgrade maps, and glow recipes.
- Maintain your profile, scan history, settings, saved looks, unlock state, and referral state.
- Operate paywalls, subscription access, rewards, and referral-code features.
- Respond to support requests and troubleshoot issues.
- Maintain security, prevent abuse, debug errors, and improve app reliability.
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Use.
10. Service Providers
We use service providers to run the app and related services, including:
- Apple for App Store purchases, subscriptions, device permissions, and iOS platform services.
- Cloudflare for backend hosting, data storage, referral operations, and service infrastructure.
- OpenRouter and AI model providers for AI image-transformation and recipe generation.
- Mixpanel for product analytics about app screens, selected responses, and feature usage. We do not send selfies, generated images, raw AI text, payment details, or referral codes to Mixpanel.
- Superwall for paywall presentation and subscription-related app flows.
These providers process information according to their own terms and privacy policies and only as needed
for the services they provide to us or to you.
11. Tracking and Advertising
LupaLook does not sell your face scans and does not use third-party advertising tracking in the app.
Product analytics are used to understand app usage and improve reliability and features, not for
third-party advertising. If our use of tracking changes, we will update this policy and request any
permissions required by Apple or applicable law before enabling tracking.
12. Data Retention
Photos, generated images, scan results, referral state, and operational records are retained only for as
long as needed to provide the app experience, support saved history, operate subscriptions and unlocks,
secure the service, troubleshoot issues, comply with legal obligations, or resolve disputes. Locally
stored app data remains on your device until you delete it or delete the app.
13. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect information. No method of
transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
14. Your Choices and Rights
You can:
- Control camera, photo library, and notification permissions in iOS Settings.
- Choose whether to submit a photo for AI transformation.
- Delete scans or delete the app to remove locally stored app data from your device.
- Manage or cancel subscriptions through your Apple ID subscription settings.
- Contact us to request help with access, correction, deletion, or privacy questions related to backend referral or support data.
15. Children's Privacy
LupaLook is not directed to children under 13, and children under 13 may not use the app. We do not
knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has
provided us information, contact us so we can take appropriate action.
16. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the last updated date
above. Your continued use of the app after an update means you accept the updated policy.
